Creating and maintaining a blog is not always easy. Producing relevant content, sticking to a schedule and getting that content out to the right audience is a challenging and ever-evolving process. The good news is, I'm learning as I go and when something "works" these little victories feel great and provide the push to keep plugging along.
Some of those little "victories" include partnering with great brands, getting feedback that a post is helpful, and when something I write resonates with a new audience. Any blogger will probably agree that in order for these things to happen, your "voice" needs to be heard and simply clicking "publish" and sharing on your social networks only goes so far. In other words, it's important to get out there and connect with like-minded bloggers and audiences - and I'm doing just that by joining Yummly.
Yummly is a fantastic resource for food bloggers and food lovers alike (or bloggers like me who often include food, or in my case, cocktails). Not only can you share your own recipes, but also find just about any recipe under the sun and in a way that is specific to your tastes and dietary preferences. Beyond that, users have their own uber-organized "recipe box" to archive appealing culinary creations. The concept may sound a bit intimidating, but trust that the interface is very intuitive and user friendly, check out how it works here. And while you're at it, check out my publisher page here.
I'm really excited to join this incredible network of talented bloggers and foodies. I hope to see you there! In the meantime, keep an eye out for the little orange Yummly button at the bottom of my food/cocktails posts - clicking that button will save them to your recipe box!
